NUEDIGITAL: 5 Years of UTN – Development & Outlook: Where Nuremberg Meets Technology

Our Vice President for Administration Dr. Michael Fraas will open the afternoon with an inspiring reflection on the development of the University of Technology Nuremberg (UTN) since its founding in 2021. The focus is on key milestones, formative decisions, and the distinctive approaches that define UTN as a young, innovative university.

Beyond structures and achievements, the talk highlights the people, ideas, and values that have shaped the university from the very beginning. What makes UTN unique? Which paths have been intentionally taken differently? And what role do innovation, interdisciplinarity, and a strong sense of community play in shaping the future?

At the same time, the talk looks ahead: What are the next steps? How will teaching, research, and transfer continue to evolve? And how is UTN actively shaping the future in the age of artificial intelligence?
As the opening of our afternoon at UTN, it sets the stage, provides orientation, and invites the audience to engage with the broader vision of a new kind of university.
