UTN Opens New Location in Nordostpark

UTN continues to grow – and with it, the need for space for study, research, and collaboration. To accommodate the increasing number of students and staff, UTN has moved into new interim premises at Nuremberg’s Nordostpark. The ground floor offers around 500 m² of modern teaching, learning, and recreation rooms. Teaching has already started there, and the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence has also moved in completely. The Department of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences will remain mainly in Ulmenstraße. In future, students will attend classes at both locations.

The upper floors feature around 120 open-plan workspaces, various flex and meeting rooms, and a large makerspace with plenty of room for robotics. Additional workshops will follow in the coming months. With a total of around 4,000 m² of rental space, UTN has more space in Nordostpark than in Ulmenstraße and almost as much as in Cube One.

At the same time, the new Learning Hub is under construction on UTN campus. The new building is scheduled to open in the 2027/28 winter semester and will offer students and instructors modern spaces for teaching, learning, and exchange. Until the founding buildings are expected to be completed in 2030, the location in Nordostpark will play an important role.
