How does the university of the future look like?

Prof. Dr. Fernando Santana de Paiva
Location: Brazil

We have many challenges in Brazil that we need to overcome: social inequalities, poverty, gender, race and ethnicity inequalities and different kind of violence. In this sense I think that science and technology that we development needs to be connected with the subjects and social groups that live in a concrete reality. In this way the university of the future needs to continue helping social and political actors of our society to understand t he causes of social problems. In this perspective we can produce political solutions to create a better world to live. The university of the future is a politically and socially involved university.
