Research Interests

I am interested in all topics involving database management systems. In particular, my focus is on systems research: algorithms, data structures, execution engines, and storage management. Currently, I am curious about the benefits of machine learning techniques for database architectures. The goal is to design novel databases that adapt better to given workloads while easing administrative overhead. Further, I want to explore how cost, energy, and resources can be saved by building serverless systems where resources are shared among clients.
